#SufferingServantLeadership is different from #ServantLeadership because the #SufferingServant believed his faithful action would result in the rescue and redemption of a group of folks... but his motivation was action to honor the love shown to him by his Father before his mission was initiated. He reciprocated love, and then loved others out of the overflow. He trusted the Father to honor him when his mission was completed. It was understood that there would be some disobedience by the group to be redeemed; but obedience needed to be modeled in order for the to-be-redeemed to learn the new-to-them behavior. They were saved by grace, still they desired to honor the who had sent the Deliverer; they willingly chose to respond with faithful obedience. The fruit of the command to love one another would be readily apparent. And there would be some failures. But consecration to loving service is enthrivened to say: I have failed this time, Master; let us begin again.
