As a fan of teams running pre-mortems for large or complex product initiatives, I once learned the underlying philosophy behind them was referred to as “prospective hindsight”. Which I think is a wonderful term to consider too in the context of individual “blind spots”. It makes me wonder - perhaps we might all benefit from running our own “personal pre-mortems” every once in a while!
