What a great read. Not something mentors or coaches are incentivized to advice, since it requires constant monitoring of one's own skills and moving of they're not growing. Thank you for penning this.

this is the only career blog I read word by word in today's noisy world. Thank you for writing such a deep-dive content full of clarity.

Deb, great article. Self awareness plays a key role in taking the steps described and you’ve outlined that well.

As audience, I’d love to read about key challenges in your career journey and how you tackled them, with the information you had at the time of decision making.

Spot on advice delivering results while also continuing to grow. Your writing has been inspiring me to stop procrastinating and start writing.

Spending just the right amount of time in a given role is an incredibly hard thing to do. Mostly because we overstate our successes and failures to suit our narratives rather than be dispassionately objective. Learn-Sprint-Rest. Repeat. If there is no learning, then it’s time to move to something else.

Thanks for sharing your perspectives! I have been reflecting a lot on my career. It is good to know that I am not the only one feeling stuck and not seeing a clear path to move up.

I absolutely love every single piece you write. So many useful pieces of nugget in each article. I learnt so much from this one too, especially as I have been contemplating too on 1) immediate delivery vs long term learning & how to best balance. 2) my brand & sense of purpose beyond my current job!

Couldn’t agree more that our life seems to be defined by our jobs in most cases. One downward step & it seems world is falling apart.

Lately, I am actively trying to be engaged in initiatives & activities that interest me outside of job!!! Definitely makes me feel better.

Thank you.
