I recently became a people manager in a new product area within my company, so it's been a whirlwind trying to add value to my team while getting up to speed on the new area. This reminds me that it's not about me knowing all the ins and outs of their products, but helping my team do their best work. I especially like your emphasis on providing resources, influence and context.
