Thank you so much for sharing your reading list and what you're reading now!
Sharing a reading list of books and online articles is a great way to learn from each other because collective learning is how humans got smarter across generations! If we can share where we resonated with and notes on specific highlights, that'd be super cool!
I also love reading books and online articles, and here's the list of what I'm reading and have read before online ;)
Hi Deb. I'm also an avid reader since childhood. Not that long ago I was at a conference that suggested several professional reads. I read half the books in the list - all written by men. Perusing your list, I see that most of your picks are also written by men. This doesn't sit well with me anymore, and I wanted to let you know. I made a commitment after that conference that for every three professional books written by women that I read, I would read one written by a man.
Please share your suggestions! I usually pick up what I hear about from friends and from podcasts. I would love to add more to my reading list from women authors.
I really think there's a direct link between Pizza Hut's Book It program and me becoming a writer. Thank you for bringing back that very fond memory!
They brought it back recently! It was a wonderful memory from childhood.
There really should be a version of Pizza Hut's Book It for adults. I think it would do an immense amount of good for the culture (and for Pizza Hut.)
Great idea! We need to find a corporate sponsor now...
Thank you for sharing this, Deb! I’ve been looking for a list like this. And that Pizza Hut anecdote is golden.
Thank you so much for sharing, Deb!
I am a huge fan of you and your writings ;)

This is a very useful list, thank you!
Also I agree with the others - thanks for the reminder of the old Pizza Hut program and personal pan pizzas.

Hi Deb. My suggestions:
Build the Damn Thing - Kathryn Finney
Women & Leadership: Real Lives, Real Lessons - Julia Guillard & Ngozi Okojo-Iweala
Trust Yourself - Melody Wilding
Invisible Women - Caroline Cirado Perez
Dare to Lead - Brene Brown
Brave New Girl - Chloe Brotheridge
Unapologetically Ambitious - Shellye Archambeau
I will add these to my reading list. I was recently recommended a couple of these, and I want to read Shellye's next. I will look the others up too.
