It makes sense but how do you identify a manager before joining a team especially when you are early in your career?

Also, are there any practical examples of narrowing a vague superpower to something that is useful. For e.g. all my reviews have mentioned "enthusiasm" as my superpower but I struggle to narrow it down to apply to my job and differentiate myself. How do you take a very vague idea and make it narrow enough that works for you?
