Thank you for this. Could you possibly recommend a good book that gets into detail (such as examples of presentations starting out bad and transforming to good)?

Agree, generally speaking.

I think some of your pitfalls are similar or redondant, as 2 & 7, or 8, 7 & 2 which could be considered as part from 6 , but this is not so critical.

Better beeing a bit redondant than leaving out a key pitfall ;-)
