I created a WhatsApp for my school friends 8 years ago and many who joined it are still there! Moreover I have been organizing annual meetups for this group and that has helped me understand about how to bring the people together for a common cause (Meetups) and make it happen, even if some of the people drop out. It has helped me hone my leadership skills too to some extent.
Inspite of all the above, I was not aware of the term "Linchpin", now I am happy to have known this through Deb. Thanks for the same.
You are the linchpin for your group like Alan has been for us. Most of those who are rarely see themselves as important, but we would all be lost without them.
