I'm genuinely glad to hear you're doing well. 'Illness has a way of stripping everything down to its essence'—it's so true, I felt that too.

We often view negative events or “slowdowns” as something to work to avoid. But interestingly, many times we find our most powerful sources of strength in challenging times, and come out with a more authentic and full view of life.

Wishing you a smooth recovery period and renewed strength in life.

Beautifully written, Deb. I continue to battle cancer and the day-in-day-out fight simply to feel “good” or “normal” is something I struggle with. I wish you the best on your journey.

Thanks for sharing, Deb! As a stroke survivor, I really appreciated Confucius's quote about how "A healthy man wants a thousand things, a sick man only wants one."
