I'd love to interview for an article I'm writing on insomnia for Health Central. I you are interested, please let me know! I am at bethrites@gmail.com.
Sorry to hear about this, Deb. As someone who has benefitted from your writings, thought I'd share this breathing work that seem to have relieved people of stress and sleep issues. https://www.artofliving.org/us-en/courses
I'm not endorsing this course but the program has been studied to have positive effects. May be worth trying?
Thanks for sharing your story Deb. The way your relationship with sleep in the initial paragraphs is exactly how I would define it. I can fall asleep anytime, sleep for as long as I want & sleep is my best stress buster n timepass. I could call it a hobby too:) However, it has changed in the recent years driven by work stress. The days I am super stressed about work related challenges, I have sleepless nights. Rest of the days , it is perfectly fine. I am also trying to implement a few rules like no technology in the bedroom, hot shower before bed etc, however some days it still haunts me. Somedays I want to solve for the root cause & find a job that brings me joy so I don’t have to go through it. Though for now, i miss my worry free sleepy days !!!
