As I've continued in my career, I've learned to embrace it as a way to build trust, bring others along for the ride, and to ensure we all know which ride we are going on. Your point about culture is spot-on! If leaders want to achieve this level of transparency, they must align their measurement and rewards accordingly, while providing psychological safety.
